Abstract:

This document summarizes the experiences made in converting electronically available documents in various formats for use in the MeDoc project's electronic library. After giving an overiew of available formats and tools to manipulate them, choices are outlined for design questions that will arise during document format conversion. Guidelines are given to straighten the conversion process described next as much as possible. Further ways of improvement are discussed at the end of this document.
