[20060529] Ayame MPLS stack ported to NetBSD
Multiprotocol Label Switching (MPLS) is supposed to speed up packet forwarding in routers by simplifying the decisions of where to forward the packet to. Rui Paulo has been porting the in-kernel MPLS support of the Ayame MPLS stack to NetBSD-current. See Rui's mail to tech-net for more information, or look at his patch directly.

Information on MPLS is available in Wikipedia, the Multiprotocol Label Switching Architecture is defined in RFC 3031.

One open question that remains to be answered is how the Ayame implementation compares to Mihai 'kefren' Chelaru's implementation.
