Pseudo-Terminal File System (Update #1)
Christos Zoulas has started working on a pty-filesystem (to be mounted
on /dev/pty), to allow an unlimited number of ptys, which doesn't need
a fixed number of pre-created device nodes in /dev any more. Check
out his
post to tech-kern for the first version, and
his other post for a patch that makes the filesystem
fully working. mmm, christos!
