Tips & Tricks:

The following styles and packages have been useful when producing a DVI-file that will be carried on to PDF later:

• ulem.sty: TEX usually doesn't hyphenate words or break up lines that are \underline'd. This style defines a new \uline command (plus some others), with which correct hypenation and line breaks are implemented.
• mathptm.sty: Replaces math-fonts with PostScript-versions
• times.sty: Replaces regular fonts with PostScript-versions
• hyperref.sty: inserts commands that are translated into PDF-links with a decent dvips. Useful options to this style are:
  • pdfmark: Needed for generating bookmarks
  • hyperindex: Create hyperlinks for index
  • backref: In the bibliography, provide links back to the places where a certain book was references.
