Install Secure Shell (ssh), available at http://www.cs.hut.fi/ssh.
It does RSA encryption, prevents IP spoofing on
rlogin/rsh/rcp-sessions, and as a bonus can do
X-forwarding (i.e. you don't have to set your $DISPLAY after logging
into the remote machine).
